- I am CLAY and am happy to be Because I am clay, I am useless for many.
- No one wants to sow, I can’t germinate No one wants to step on me, am sticky All will ignore me.
- Lord you are a potter You know what to do I surrender in you .
- Your wish is my desire Create me – option is yours I won’t ask you, what I am going to be .
- With your love as water You made me soft With life experiences, you burnt me.
- Now I am an “it” Any one can use me For whatever purpose.
- I am not worried I am in an eternal bliss - now
- I am burnt clay and am happy to be.

LINGAM - is a symbol of -----?
Form and Formless
All the living things and object has forms in this universe. Even an atom and sub atomic particle has a form.
Does energy has a form??? No, but we can feel energy in every activities of our life. For example, a photon is an energy which has no form but it is coming out of an unstable atom which has got a form.
Theoretically, one cannot describe god because he is beyond the concept of form and formless, he is neither positive or negative or neutral (female or male or eunuch). I cannot able to describe him and I am finding it hard because my understanding on him is limited when is use my wisdom and knowledge. When I feel him with my “athma (soul)” my understanding now goes beyond the limit because “athma” do not have form, about athma and it’s existence “VYSA’S BHAGWADGITA” explain this very beautifully.
Now coming to the formless, energy does not have a form and it exist everywhere (Law of physics says energy can be neither created nor destroyed), god exist everywhere and he is known as “paramathma”- supreme soul. From him all other “ ATHMAS” that exist in this universe came from. So some Human soul called him as “mother” thayumanavar and some called him as “ Father”.
God or Paramathma exist everywhere, and we can’t define him. Now question arise here is how to give a form to formless, Shivalingam is the ultimate answer for this.
Look at the shape of “LINGAM” it’s like a inverted helical “U”.
“Ω”
Open on one end and blunt on other 3 ends. The INVERTED HELICAL “U” don’t have a starting point and a end point, the symbol “ inverted helical “U” ends in infinity. This philosophy was best explained in “Thiruvilayadal puranam” – Vishnu and Brahama both failed to find shiva’s top and end.
I conclude Lingam is a symbol of the “FORM AND THE FORMLESS”.
